  • Do you accept insurance?
    I do not accept health insurance directly; however, as an out-of-network provider, I can provide you with a superbill for services rendered. This superbill can be submitted to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement according to your plan's coverage. Here are some important questions to consider asking your health insurance provider: Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits? What is my deductible and has it been met? What is the coverage amount per therapy session for out-of-network providers? Is approval required from my primary care physician?
  • What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?
    Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. To avoid a cancellation fee of $175, kindly provide at least a 24-business hour notice if you need to cancel your appointment.
  • How can therapy help me?
    Therapy can provide a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It can help you gain insight, develop coping strategies, improve relationships, manage stress, and work through various mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and more.
  • How long does therapy take?
    The duration of therapy varies depending on individual needs and goals. Some people may find relief in a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy. Together we will work to determine an appropriate treatment plan based on your specific circumstances.
  • What happens in a therapy session?
    In a therapy session, you will have the opportunity to discuss your concerns, feelings, and experiences in a safe and non-judgmental space. I will be actively listening, providing support, and offering guidance or interventions based on my expertise. I specifically utilize narrative therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), collaborative assessment and management of suicidality (CAMS), and mindfulness techniques.

    Please fill out the contact form, and I will respond within 24-48 hours. During our initial conversation, I will kindly inquire about your reasons for seeking therapy to better understand if we are a good fit for embarking on this therapeutic journey together.
  • Good Faith Estimate
    Effective January 1, 2022 under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, a ruling went into effect called the "No Surprises Act" which requires practitioners to provide a "Good Faith Estimate" about out-of-network care. At Align Counseling, we believe in fostering transparency when it comes to the cost of therapy sessions. We prioritize a collaborative approach between the therapist and client, empowering you to actively participate in determining the length of treatment and the overall care you receive. You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your care will cost. Under the law, if a client requests a good faith estimate, health care providers need to give clients an estimate of the bill for services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost services. You can ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
